Wow! Gorillas
Wow! Gorillas brought a world class mass public art event to the streets and parks of Bristol this summer.
This unique event in partnership with Bristol City Council and Wild in Art, attracted tourists to Bristol as well as encouraged residents to see their city afresh, encouraging exploration of Bristol and all it has to offer.
Wow! Walk of Fame
The Bristol Walk of Fame has just opened at Bristol Zoo, celebrating 49 of the city’s most renowned people, places and icons from across the historic, creative, sporting and wildlife spectrum.
The Bristol Walk of Fame is a trail of specially-designed plaques within the grounds of the Zoo, with each plaque bearing the names of the famous inductees.

What is Wow! 175?
Throughout 2011 we celebrated our landmark birthday – a major achievement that makes us the oldest Zoo outside of a capital city! Bristol Zoo has always been an integral part of Bristol and we are planning an exciting series of events.
Businesses, communities, charities and conservation and education establishments are being invited to partner with the Zoo on our Wow projects.
